| Some of you already know I moved my blog to Myspace. If you need to know how to find me, let me know. Otherwise, I'll still be logging into xanga on occasion to comment on blogs. More now than before actually, so maybe this is a good thing. | | |
| *edit- had to fix "disgaurded". was driving me nuts. all better now.
We've brought Nomad home. For those of you who don't know him, he is the most lovable black dog I've ever known. He has an aversion to made beds, and a lust for discarded blankets and he is the most loyal dog in the world.
He has a new haircut to avoid fleas and ticks, but he's still the same old nomad. I think it's going to be good to have him with us. No one else could give him the love we can. Welcome home Mr. Bumps.
| I'm sitting in the writing center right now, waiting for the lady to be free to help me out in looking over a paper, and she's talking to this loser who thinks that because he has two english classes with the same teacher, she should be leniant with him on the assignment of papers. WTF?
You sign up for a class, you should be prepared to do the work in it. I understand that there are circumstances where yes, it is difficult to do all the work, and perhaps you didn't know when you began the course what would be required of you but the idea that the teacher should treat him differently just because he is in both of her classes and has to write two papers? What if one of the classes were taught by a different teacher? Would that make it different? GROW THE FUCK UP!
So yeah, I'm a little irritated. I have only one hour to be in here because then I have to go to my EDF class in which we will inevitably get to the whining portion where the students begin complaining about the state of the education system and starting the "how can I do my job when..."blah blah blah. If you don't like the beurocracy, get out of the profession... quick! If you think you can hang, then debating the issue in a class meant to introduce you to teaching is not going to change anything.
I'm reading my entry over and I seem pretty bitter today. It's the stress talking. I'll be fine in a couple of weeks... really...
| Ever gotten a ticket when you were really unaware that you were doing anything wrong? It sucks. | | |
